How to play Farflung
Farflung is a daily geography quiz. Answer five questions by placing a pin on a country for each one.
Several countries can be right. A common answer counts, but a less common correct answer takes you farther.

A question can have more than one correct country. We show examples of common and rare answers; other countries may also be correct.
Check the prompt before placing a pin
First identify a country that meets the exact condition. Then consider a less obvious correct country if you know one.
- Answer with a country rather than a city.
- Check which language, border, origin or other condition is being asked about.
- A less famous country only helps when it actually fits the prompt.
