1. Read what the category actually asks
Before choosing an unusual answer, read the question carefully. If it asks for a country, a city will not count. Make sure your answer fits any other limits in the question, too.
- Look for limits such as a place, time period or spelling.
- First think of an answer you know is correct.
2. Move one step beyond your obvious answer
Imagine the prompt is ‘Name a planet in our solar system.’ Earth and Mars are easy starting points. Neptune is another valid answer that may come to mind less quickly. This illustrates the choice you are making; the official game decides its own rarity for each answer.
Choose an answer you know is real and fits the question. An unusual guess only helps if it is correct.
An example from QuizCubby Dive
In QuizCubby Dive, the question “Name an ocean” has these scores. This is a practice example; official Krillion uses its own scoring.
| Practice answer | Rarity | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Pacific | Common | 100 |
| Indian | Uncommon | 250 |
| Southern | Rare | 500 |
3. Submit while there is still time
Leave enough time to type and submit. If an answer is rejected and the clock is still running, check the message and try another spelling or answer.
The two games check answers differently. Official Krillion has autocorrect and recognises some alternative names. QuizCubby accepts listed synonyms and ignores differences in capital letters, punctuation and accents, but may not recognise typos.
4. Read the result in the right scoring system
Compare your official Krillion score with friends who played the same daily game. In QuizCubby, common answers score 100 points, uncommon 250, rare 500 and legendary 1,000. Each point takes you one metre deeper.
In QuizCubby, you can try again if your answer is not recognised and time remains. If the 25-second clock runs out before an answer is accepted, you get zero for that question. Official Krillion has its own rules.
5. Practise the decision, then compare approaches
After a round, think about questions where you knew a common answer but could not find a less obvious one. Practising different topics can help you find more answers next time.
For repeat play, use official Unlimited or QuizCubby’s independent practice game. For a shared puzzle with friends, return to the official Daily. If you switch to Noillirk, reverse the strategy: aim for the crowd’s most common answer.
Questions, answered
Should I always choose my most obscure answer?
Only if you are confident it fits the question. An answer must be correct to count.
Why was a real answer rejected?
It might not fit the question, may be missing from the game’s list, or may be spelled in a way the game does not recognise. Check the message and try again if time remains.
Can I use QuizCubby scores on the official leaderboard?
No. QuizCubby uses its own questions and scoring, so its result is separate.
Where can I practise without a daily limit?
Official Krillion has an Unlimited menu option. QuizCubby also offers its own repeatable rare-answer quiz.
